Jigme Konchok Lhamo

Drukpa Kung Fu Nun
Jigme Konchok Lhamo was born in Himachal Pradesh, India in 1994. She is a member of the Druk Amitabha Mountain Nunnery in Kathmandu, Nepal. She has lived there since the age of 12. As a girl she was inspired by His Holiness the Gyalwang Drukpa’s message of gender equality and women’s empowerment, and she chose a monastic path that has now shaped almost two decades of her life. Since 2008, Jigme has trained as one of the famous Drukpa “Kung Fu Nuns,” studying Wushu martial arts not only to practice discipline but also a vehicle for serving others. In addition to her spiritual and martial arts training, she participates in educational outreach and a range of humanitarian projects, from animal rescue to environmental clean-up. Her journey exemplifies a deep commitment to compassion and the pursuit of enlightenment through service.
